Hahndorf
2011 By John Boom
Hahndorf is located in South Australia and is only a short drive away from Adelaide and is an
historic town restored perfectly for the tourism market.
Nearly all the town’s stores have been meticulously restored to perfection with many of the
buildings made from local rough stonewall creations. Just about every building in the main street
has been converted into some sort of attractive business and it’s a joy to be able to see that
people have gone to so much trouble to keep the historic area so attractive.
I was surprised when I found this little town and wasn’t expecting such a nice presentation of an
area. You can easily spend a few hours here and perhaps take in a cup of coffee and some
lunch while there. Shop from one interesting store to another and I’m sure you’ll enjoy yourself as
we did while there.
