Dubbo
2011 By John Boom
Dubbo is a good-sized town with all facilities and a mixture of old and new style buildings. Many
heritage buildings remain and there’s plenty to see in the area.
It’s now well known for the Dubbo free-range zoo on the outskirts of town.
The river that runs through the town area has a nice railway bridge crossing it, which is well worth a
look. Try your hand at fishing while there. There’s the old Dubbo jail and several other attractions in
the area.
There’s a nice park where you could sit and have picnic for a while and relax for some time. The
town has great facilities and you can shop there for a day easily and its well worth a few days stay if
you’re in the area.
