Australian Big Thing Icons

Australia’s obsession with “Big Things” it seems has become almost a tradition now
and many state towns strive to create their own unique tourism icon. Some are
naturally forming, others are man made, many are pretty weird to say the least but
no matter what they all stand out to be noticed. Like them or not it seems they’re
here to stay and they have become part of our Australian landscape in one way or
another.

display as some have been removed over time. We still leave the photos here as a
historical resource.
